META BUSINESS MESSENGER
Product Explainer

Process:

The Meta Business Messenger product explainer series was produced with a Visual Designer and a Creative Director. This sample above is one of three videos that were created for various B2B Sales Channels as well as internal presentation. As Motion Designer and Post-Producer, my hybrid role involved client feedback from storyboard to completion.

As Motion Designer, the task was to animate the abstracted UI/UX + style frames + brand motion guidelines and elevate the look & feel of the platform itself. Following Meta brand guidelines closely, this allowed a cohesive mix of formats, to include 2D character animations.

I had sourced a 2D illustrator and a Character Animator for this specific piece highlighted above. This brought those scenes to life, where previously the direction would have been to utilize stock footage all while playing and stretching those Meta brand guidelines.

Post production process included merging all these elements together and tying it to Voice Over and Original Score. Voice over was recorded remotely, where I sourced the talent and directed the sessions. Each of the videos in the series had their own unique VO talent assigned. The casting direction was to have a global reach and tone.

Then, perhaps the unexpected highlight of these videos was sourcing a composer for an original score. Because the production was put together efficiently and under budget, this allowed us to elevate certain elements such as original score. The composer I sourced came from a background in Film/TV trailers and really brought a unique sound from the provided temp score (drawing plenty of inspiration from Daniel Pemberton.)
